Awards & Recognition

Over the decades, TTK Hospital and its dedicated professionals have been recognized nationally and internationally for their outstanding contribution to addiction treatment, rehabilitation, counselling, social work, and mental health services.

2002

Women of the Year Award

Ms. Shanthi Ranganathan received the prestigious “Women of the Year” award from Inner Wheel District 323 on 23rd January 2002. The function was covered by The Hindu, Indian Express, and Dinamani.

  • Lion's Club District 322 honoured her with the “Service Award”.
  • Received recognition at the South Asia Conference on Substance Abuse Prevention, Trivandrum.
2003

National & International Recognition

  • Awarded by The New Indian Express in January 2003.
  • Honoured by Guild of Service on 22nd February 2003.
  • Colombo Plan recognized the organization during its 30th Anniversary Celebrations with a Trophy, Certificate, and US $4000 for outstanding services in addiction treatment.
2008

Champion of Humanity Award

On International Women’s Day, Dr. Shanthi Ranganathan received the “Champion of Humanity” award from FICCI Ladies Organisation, Chennai. The award was presented by Dr. Kiran Bedi IPS.

2009

Healthcare & Social Service Awards

  • Dr. Anita Rao received the Dr. Sanjeevi Award for her services to alcohol and drug users.
  • Dr. Shanthi Ranganathan received the Dr. K.V. Thiruvengadam Award for Health Care.
2010

Golden Lotus Award

  • Dr. Anita Rao received the Renny Abraham TANKER Foundation Award for “Love for Service”.
  • Dr. Shanthi Ranganathan received the “Golden Lotus Award” during International Women’s Day celebrations.
National Award

Government of India National Award

TTK Hospital was recognized as the “Best Regional Resource and Training Centre providing exemplary contribution in the field of prevention of addiction”.

The award was presented by the Honorable President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

2015

Avvaiyar Award

Dr. Shanthi Ranganathan received the prestigious Tamil Nadu Government “Avvaiyar Award” for excellence in social service.

  • The award carried Rs 1 lakh, a gold medallion, and a citation.
  • Presented by former Chief Minister Selvi J. Jayalalithaa.
  • Received wide media coverage across leading newspapers and TV channels.
2015

Mega TV Women Achievers Award

Mega TV honoured Ms. Shanthi Ranganathan during International Women’s Day celebrations at Kamaraj Arangam.

2016

ICCE Award of Excellence

  • WOW Mind & Behavioural Clinic featured Ms. Shanthi Ranganathan in its 2016 desk calendar highlighting her contribution to addiction treatment.
  • Honoured during Nalanda Hospital’s 25th Anniversary celebration.
  • Received ICCE Award of Excellence at ASCAD International Conference, Malaysia.
2017

Lifetime Achievement Award

Dr. Shanthi Ranganathan received the National Social Service Lifetime Achievement Award at Kaladi, Kerala.

2018

Professional Excellence Awards

  • Dr. Shanthi Ranganathan was honoured by the Alumni Association of Madras School of Social Work.
  • Dr. Anita Rao received the “Lifetime Achievement Award 2018”.
  • Ms. Jacqueline David received the “Vasanth Edward Memorial Award” for De-addiction and Rehabilitation work.
2020

Alumni Excellence Award

Dr. Shanthi Ranganathan received the “Alumni Excellence Award 2018” from The Madras School of Social Work for outstanding achievement in the cause of de-addiction.

2023

Excellence in Mental Health Service

Ms. Maya Varadarajan accepted the “Excellence in Mental Health Service” award on behalf of TTK Hospital during the Niraivagam Day Anniversary.

2024

Social Change & Humanitarian Awards

  • Ms. Maya Varadarajan participated in “The Humanitarian Award” function curated by Ms. Apsara Reddy.
  • Dr. Shanthi Ranganathan received the “Social Change Maker” Award by Arasu FM 90.4.
  • Received “Lifetime Achievement Award” from EWOLV for contribution in addiction treatment.
  • Mr. Murali received a “Service Award” from BLUE NGO for community welfare.

Appreciation & Rehabilitation Excellence Awards

  • Mrs. Maya Varadarajan was felicitated at the Humanitarian Awards for excellence in rehabilitation.
  • Mrs. Jacqueline Allenby David received an “Appreciation Award” for contribution in addiction counselling and rehabilitation services.
